See News for pictures and full write.

Community sessions

This Saturday 25 October we continue our regular programme. School years 8-11 training at Forest School from 2.00 until 3.30. Years 7 and under have the court from 3.30 until 5.00.We also have our first U12 game at 5.00 so feel free to hang around and cheer us on.

All we ask in return is £5.00 per session (your very first one is free) and that you bring plenty of water, correct sports kit and a willingness to learn and have fun.

After attending 3 community sessions we ask that you become a Hawks registered member. This covers court insurance, registration with England Basketball and a rather fetching t-shirt featuring Sussex's premier basketball club*. Membership is £20. See details in our membership section.

South East success

A huge well done to players India Belfield and Dani Lozzi, assistant coach Dom Evans and team manager Gianni Lozzi as they helped South East England finish second in their national U15 competition. Well done one and all.

This is a fund raising event for new basketballs, etc. Nicky Rose is organising a raffle. Any help would be much appreciated (i.e. to set up/pack away, provide cakes, make tea/coffee). Bring your own booze and nibbles.

This event is open to the parents of the players, friends of parents of players, passing acquaintances of parents of players - in fact any adults who like a good time based on a multiple question format. Lots of fun guaranteed! Just turn up. You know you want to.

More details to follow.

Sussex team of the year

What a perfect way to end a season. The Hawk's U11 sq

uad, coaches and assistants celebrating at the County Times Youth Awards where they picked up the team of the year award.

Sussex success

Well that was an impressive weekend (14/15 June). Following our end of season bash our young Hawks represented Sussex at U11 boys, U11 girls, U13 girls and U15 girls. Well done to Josh Lea Clayton and Antonio Lozzi who's U11's romped to unbeaten victory: Amy and Charlotte Willcox who played hard for their U11 team: Amber Hutchinson, Millie Lea Clayton and Molly Shaw who's U13's finished top of their league: Abi Reeves, India Belfield, Maya Le rossignol, Dani Lozzi, Ellie Hutchinson and Millie again, who finished undefeated to clinch their league.

But that's not all. Both Millie and Dani were selected as competition MVPs.

U11 league champions

Finally all the hard work and patience paid off – Hawks U11s are league champions, Scoring 1166 points in total. Kinda look happy about it too.

Hawk's end of season bash

A huge thank you to coach Graham and the many volunteers who made this years end of season bash one of the best yet. A prize to the first person to spot Wally...
